{"id":1188,"date":"2015-08-09T20:21:10","date_gmt":"2015-08-09T20:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.k7farm.com\/blog\/?p=1188"},"modified":"2016-12-23T04:39:27","modified_gmt":"2016-12-23T04:39:27","slug":"ranch-chicken-patties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.k7farm.com\/blog\/?p=1188","title":{"rendered":"Ranch Chicken Patties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These started off as a kebab type dish &#8211; ground chicken\u00a0and other ingredients mixed together and formed into a ball, skewered and grilled. \u00a0But mid-dish I realized I didn&#8217;t have one ingredient that was a main player and by the time I was finished searching for it the kids were\u00a0<em>starving\u00a0<\/em>(at least they thought they were) and I didn&#8217;t have time to get fancy with kebabs. \u00a0So, I improvised with ingredients on the fly, then just made\u00a0patties on the George Forman grill. \u00a0I made some heart-shaped patties for my girls but they boys weren&#8217;t into that silliness so they got boring circle shaped patties. But the main point was that the improvising was a hit and everyone enjoyed them and thought they were blog worthy. \u00a0So &#8211; here they are!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1lb ground chicken<\/li>\n<li>2tb <a href=\"http:\/\/www.k7farm.com\/blog\/?p=1014\">ranch dressing<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1\/2c <a href=\"http:\/\/www.k7farm.com\/blog\/?p=461\">bread crumbs<\/a><\/li>\n<li>1ts lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1 garlic clove, minced<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix all ingredients thoroughly, form into patties and bake (350F for about 15-20 minutes raised on a cooling rack set on a cookie sheet) or grill until cooked through. \u00a0I haven&#8217;t tried it yet, but I would imagine you could also cook these on the stovetop in a greased heavy skillet over medium\/medium high heat as well.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Variation:<\/p>\n<p>The second time I made these I also caramelized small onion bits and garlic, added them to the ground chicken mix along with 1\/4 c fresh parmesan cheese. \u00a0These were also very good.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These started off as a kebab type dish &#8211; ground chicken and other ingredients mixed together and formed into a ball, skewered and grilled.
