{"id":451,"date":"2014-12-17T02:57:30","date_gmt":"2014-12-17T02:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.k7farm.com\/blog\/?p=451"},"modified":"2016-12-23T04:39:24","modified_gmt":"2016-12-23T04:39:24","slug":"dumplings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.k7farm.com\/blog\/?p=451","title":{"rendered":"Dumplings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am going to share two types of dumplings. \u00a0The first is more of a bready dumpling I like to cook on beef stew. \u00a0The second is an egg dumpling that resembles pasta more than it does anything else, but it&#8217;s not rolled or cut into a pasta shape. \u00a0It&#8217;s rather thick, but formed by the liquid it&#8217;s cooked in and takes the place of pasta in thinner soups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bready Dumplings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1-1\/2 c flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp salt<\/li>\n<li>3tb butter<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 milk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Method:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine all ingredients but the milk. \u00a0Using a pastry cutter or two knives, &#8220;cut&#8221; the butter into the flour mixture. \u00a0You can also use a food processor and process the mix until it resembles oatmeal. \u00a0Stir in the milk until a pasty dough forms. \u00a0Drop dough by the spoonful on top of meat and veggies in boiling liquid. \u00a0Cook uncovered for 10 minutes, then cover for another 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Egg Dumplings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-6 eggs<\/li>\n<li>enough flour to make a soft dough<\/li>\n<li>salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Method:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Combine the above ingredients until you have a soft dough. \u00a0Drop into boiling liquid by the spoonful and boil until they float.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am going to share two types of dumplings.
