Taco Seasoning

Homemade taco seasoning is so easy to make – make up a bulk batch and keep it in your pantry for whenever you need it.  The nice thing is that you can not only pronounce every ingredient, but you can also control how much salt goes into it.

  • 2 tsp. dry, minced onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

  1. Combine above ingredients and add to one pound of browned ground beef with 3/4 c water.  Cook over medium high heat until heated through and liquid is absorbed.
  2. To make a bulk batch, mix ingredients and store in an airtight jar in your pantry.  Use about 6tsp of mix with 3/4 c water per pound of browned ground beef.
