Bread Baking Basics

Learn the basics of working with yeast so you can successfully bake bread and bread rolls, and other variations, from scratch.

Be ready to get your hands dirty – you will be baking your very own bread to take home while you are here! We will cover the process from start to finish, troublshooting all the way.

No bread machines used here – you will learn how to knead by hand and the benefits of kneading with an electric mixer and dough hook. We will also discuss freezing dough and bread for future use, variations, and you will come home with recipes and a recap of what you’ve learned so you can do it all over again on your own.

Bread baking is something many people struggle with, but chances are goodif you learn how yeast and other ingriedents work together, you will become confident and successful.

The cost is $20 per person. You must register in advance for this class to hold your space so I have enough material and ingredients on hand. Space is limited in my kitchen, so please register early. Private workshops are also available if you wish to learn on your own, and I am willing to travel, within reason, to teach this workshop at different locations.
